OnLine Dance Lesson ... Cha-Cha-Cha!

The Cha-Cha comes from the Cuban Mambo. It originated during the Mid-1950s when musicians began syncopating the 4th beat of music. Wanting to expres this variance of rhythm, the mambo dancers soon began creating figures with a "triple step" pattern. The resulting Mambo with a "triple step" became know as the "Triple Mambo" and is now called the "Cha-Cha-Cha." Although a bit slower than the Rumba, it's syncopated rhythm gives it a much faster feel, allows for limitless foot syncopations and makes it a dynamic and exciting dance.

"When we first came to see Joe and Sara we were truly terrible dancers. No kidding. I couldn't lead and my wife to be couldn't follow. After two and a half months we were polished and confident. It was so much fun!! After our first dance I heard people saying, 'I had no clue they were such great dancers.' Joe and Sara are great teachers and made our special day that much more special."
